Bridging the Source: Public Art and Payette Lake
The City of McCall, the McCall Arts and Humanities Council, and the Idaho Transportation Department partnered with Madacsi Studios to commission public artwork for the Lardo Bridge, which spans the outlet of beautiful Payette Lake.
The MS Iona

This piece was specially designed for the MS Iona, a cruise ship due to enter service in May 2020. She will be the largest ship ever to enter service for the British market, operated by P&O Cruises, a Carnival cruise line based in Southampton, England.

For this project, I was invited to design and install outdoor sculptures in a contemporary Garden City, Idaho neighborhood. A collaborative enterprise with NeighborWorks® Boise, a national non-profit organization whose mission is to lead in creating innovative housing solutions that contribute to building stronger communities. I wanted to create a unique artwork that integrated nicely within the pocket neighborhood located on North Adams Street.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Center, Nampa, Idaho
The columnar sections in this metal and architectural glass wall piece, is an encompassing representation the Seven Catholic Sensibilities. The landscape depicted focuses on the last of the sensibilities, “Stewardship of God’s Creation”. The scene is one of familiarity to this region of southern Idaho.
The Austin, Hong Kong
We worked directly with design professionals to accommodate their need for artwork in a new luxury residential property being built in Hong Kong. They commissioned 14 custom PODS ranging in size and color from 18" up to 48" to be installed onto a sawtooth marble facade for the hotel's elevator lobby walls.

Hygienic Art Park

The Hygienic Art Park was designed and built to expand the impact of the Hygienic Gallery and Artist Live/Work Cooperative in New London's historic central business district. Occupying a previously vacant lot, the park offers a stage for music, performance art, movies, and other community events.
San Jacinto Methodist Hospital, Houston, TX
The hospital’s art services team invited me to create a design based on a previous “Garden” series of work that they had seen. The original series had been quite small in size, so I scaled up these new pieces to compliment the architecture of this location with a custom fit.
Victory Care Center,
New York, NY
This work was designed in collaboration with an art services agency. After the budget was determined, I began working on sketches for a donor recognition piece. The client was adamant that the piece be unique, and quite different from the often seen Tree of Life design. They wanted something that would stand out and be unlike the other ideas being proposed to them.
The Hotel At Arundel Preserve, Hanover, MD
The art representative contacted Madacsi Studios to commission these two 56” high totems. They had seen my totem sculptures and desired similar, yet larger works that would fit neatly within two niches in the foyer, greeting guests before they reached the lobby and sign in desks.

For this project I collaborated with the design team at Mohegan Sun. The casino’s interior design concept emphasizes nature and the Mohegan Tribe’s deep spiritual connection and respect for nature.

Many of our relationships with art services groups are long standing. This project is a good example of how Madacsi Studios has built a trusting connection with an established team of an art services business. Over the years we have worked with this group to create quite a number of commissioned projects with budgets and size of works ranging from modest to monumental.
Kaiser Permanente, Westpark, Virginia
The art service team was looking for something whimsical for the children’s ward of the hospital. They asked Madacsi Studios to create two Pyrocumulus wall sculptures based on work they had seen online.

The art services agent we worked with on this project had seen a previous work at an exhibit. They wanted to commission a piece based on the artwork, but were looking for a color pallet that would suit the aesthetic environment of the lobby of their client.
